In 1962, Decca records famously signed The Tremeloes in preference to The Beatles, although having heard what The Beatles recorded for their audition I’m not surprised. So in 1962, The Tremeloes started recording for Decca, having their first hit, Twist And Shout in 1963. They continued having hits right through until the 70s.

Dave Munden has been drummer and vocalist since the band started out in 1958, and in this interview we’ll here him talk about the split with Brian Poole, the story behind the no1 hit Yellow River, and their superb recording of Words in the 80s.
