Dave Lambert of The Strawbs Talking About Reforming Fire
An interview I did with Dave Lambert of The Strawbs about reforming his 60s band Fire for two gigs at the Windlesham Club on Nov 30 and Dec 1st.
Not only are all three original members going to be in the band, but their original producer will be doing the sound I believe.
If you look in the Record Collector price guide, Fire’s single Father’s Name Is Dad books at nearly £300 as does their 1970 concept album The Magic Shoemaker, which will be played live at these gigs for the first time ever. I shall be going on Dec 1st.
Definitely a night for anoraks, but if the Father’s Name Is Dad single is anything to go by, there should be some good music played.
